My buddy, Mike Salva is a funny guy. By funny, I mean “Ha ha” funny. Mike makes cartoons are regularly featured in screenings around the country at events like Comic-Con and Dragon*con, but his toons have also been featured in film festivals.
Recently, Mike’s cartoon “Death Row Diet” (featuring Jonathan Katz) recently picked up Best Animation at the 2010 Urban Suburban Film Festival. Mike asked if I could take his portrait with the classy new award to send to the folks over at the film festival at their request. I love this shot as it captures Mike’s personality.
